how can i get a list of all the telemarketing, call centers, and answering services in my area quickly?

A friend at work asked me to compile a list of all the 24 hour telemarketing, answering service and call center companies in the western suburbs of chicago. How can I do this quickly without having to sift through the tons of results I get?

You can get the lists thru one of the 2 telephone directories. switchboard.com or dexonline.com ( i don't work for either of them. They are free ). Just click on the Business category and enter what you are looking for.

If you remember anyone that was in management they should still have his number. The phone book had a lot of Robert Taylors and Bob Taylors so that wasn't of much help/

How much is a telemarketing job per hour?

How much should I charge for my home based telemarketing services? I got a telemarketing job (US based) they are paying me 3.5 USD/ hour yet the pressure is too much. SOmetimes I feel that I'm not being paid exactly the way this job is being paid when they hire someone outside the USA.

you should be getting commission if you dont make enough put up bigger numbers. if they are just paying by the hour quit there is no reason to be a telemarketer if you dont get commission. go work in a call center for an insurance company or some crap its easy no stress

Is it "telemarketing" if you are calling previous customers who have used your services?

to remind them to get services and "tune-up" type stuff done? (I.e. Would this kind of marketing be wrong for those on the "do not call list"?) I am thinking no but not really sure.

It is considered telemarketing, but since they are or were a customer in the past it is legal even if they are on a 'do not call list' due to the fact that it isn't a cold call but a previous customer - within an 18 month period after there has been a business transaction. Even if not a customer if you have submitted an application or requested information with a company they can call you for up to 3 months afterward. Check out the government link I supplied below because there are a few exceptions.

How to check numbers of telephone preference service (telemarketing uk)?

I wish to use telemarketing to promote my web design business. How can I check numbers against the telephone preference service? I understand that you can pay a company to conduct 'data cleansing', but I just want to make sure that it's legal and ok to check the numbers I have. Can this be done for free?

I don't think anyone offers that info for free. A list of rules for direct marketing can be found at www.ico.gov.uk, they may link to some organisations that offer that info though?
