house cleaning?

So I was wondering who else waits until nighttime to clean their house? My husband works nights so I wait until night to do all my cleaning, I actually prefer it that way. I love cleaning then showering and going to bed knowing that when my hubby gets home in the morning the house is clean and smells good. To me it makes no sense to clean during the day because it's just going to get dirty again before the day is over. A1, sadly no I don't have a sister.

House Cleaning?

when you are looking to hire someone to clean your home.. what are you looking for most of all? what quality sells most? licensed, insured, bonded, punctuality, personality, etc.... and what areas are of most concern? Dusting, polishing, cleaning stain or smudges, disinfecting, etc...

Question answered by *Sombra*

I've never hired a cleaning service or an individual, but if I did, yes, my primary consideration would be that the person or persons were licensed, bonded, insured ... Of course I would consider other factors as well (especially if I were hiring an individual) ... I would want that person to be someone I could easily communicate with and could count on ... reliability and punctuality would be important ... I would also need to feel that I could "trust" that person to be in my house, unsupervised. Key areas for cleaning would be, for me ... kitchen and bathrooms, and common areas. I would like to have the windows, window-frames, baseboards, railings, etc., cleaned. Beyond that, a good dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning the hard-floor surfaces. I (personally ... I realize others may differ) don't want the bedrooms fussed with. Dusting and vacuuming would be OK in the bedrooms, but I wouldn't want someone changing my sheets or, really, touching my bed ... or my kids' beds. I'd prefer to do that myself. I would never expect someone to do my laundry or dishes unless I had specifically hired him/her for that task. If I were to hire a cleaning service or individual, what I would want is to come home to a house that is tidied up and neat-looking. The criteria I would apply is ... if an unexpected guest showed up, would my house be ready? If I felt confident that the common areas of my house were guest-ready and presentable, the cleaning service will have done a good job.

How much time do you spend cleaning your house?

I feel like I am constantly cleaning and yet I never get time to do any deep cleaning. I should say I spend alot of time straightening. My house always feels messy to me. How do you keep your house clean? I don't have alot of clutter, but I have trouble getting my family to not just drop there stuff all over the kitchen counters etc. I am planning on making a list of chores that I need to do daily, weekly, monthly, etc.. I do shampoo my carpets twice a year, but I don't think I've only cleaned the windows once in 6 years. How do you get it all done and how much time do you spend.

How much does a house cleaning maid cost these days?

I live in tucson arizona on the 2nd floor of an apt building. I have two bedroom appartment and need a house cleaning maid to help me with my clutter and cleaning issues. How much do they normally charge these days? thanks for your help! People who adhere to the "if you havent used it in 1 year throw it out" pertaining to clutter. So I havent had an job interview and havent used my dress suit in a year i should throw it out? I havent needed to use my power drill in over a year ..i need to throw it out? I really dont understand this concept. But it overall needs to be stored properly rather than being thrown out.

Question answered by don n

Only you can decide what to toss and what to save. Once you have done this, then get a maid. Check with some of your friends or neighbors, they may be able to recommend someone that they use. The prices vary greatly and if you can find someone who is reliable and not with an agency they are much more reasonable.

Question answered by wanninonni

Slow down, sounds like you want the world!!! Granted, everything you mentioned sounds great for a business, but why don't you focus on one thing at a time. I don't own my own business, but if I wanted to start a house cleaning business, I would go work for a house cleaning service for about a year. Try to learn as much as you can, soak it up like a sponge. When I had a 'swat' team of housecleaners, they would charge by the hours. I had 4 women for 1 hour and be charged seventy dollars. I got rid of them because I was not satisifed with the caliber of work they performed. In addition, I didn't want them inflicting damage to my house, Keep these in mind because these are very important to the home owner.

How much should I charge for house cleaning in southeast Wisconsin?

I am starting a house cleaning buizz and was wondering about what to charge. Is $80-$100 for the first clean on a average sized house a decent rate to charge?

It depends on your skill level if ur just getting into the biz : 50-100 dollars if u have been doing this for like 2 years : about 200-250 dollars if you have been like doing this for like 3 years or 4 years : 300- 350 dollars anything above that : 500 but it also depends on how much ur cleaing and how long. but if its like an hourly rate then like 50 an hour.
